Here you will find your common questions and answers relating to cake orders:

1 - How much notice do I need to give for an order?

The more notice the better! Ideally, at least 2 weeks to avoid disappointment but there is sometimes room for a last minute order, so it is always worth ringing in case! Availability is dependent on the number of orders being processed at that time and occasionally there may not be resources to meet demand.

2 - How long will my cake last?

All cakes will keep for 4 days after delivery as long as they are wrapped and stored properly.  It is always advisable that once the cake has been cut, any leftovers to be wrapped up in foil to keep it fresh.  Serviettes and tissue absorb moisture from a cake and can cause it to dry so are not recommended.

3 - How do I get my cake?

Cakes are collected personally on a date specified and arranged in advanced.  They will be boxed and presented on a board, ready for collection.  It is advised to keep the cakes in the boot of the car as this provides a flat surface.  The passenger seat in your car is not a good place as it slopes.  If collection is not possible, your cake can be delivered to you at an extra charge dependant on the address/location.

4 - How should I store my cake?

All cakes should be stored in a cool place on a flat surface.  They should never be refrigerated (unless they are fresh cream/cream cheese cake) and should be left in their box until the special cutting time.

5. What style of cake can I have?

Anything at all!  There are no limits to your imagination and the aim is always to produce the cake of your dreams! The galleries are here to inspire you.  They are mainly bespoke orders which were designed by the clients.  If you have an idea or seen a design in a magazine, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me and I would be more than happy to design your unique cake based on that idea.

6. Are your cakes Halal?

Yes.  I do not use any meat based products in my cakes. All icings contain geletine free essences/extracts. Alhumdullilah.
